OUT OF THE LOCKER

Conversations relative to the proposed amalgamation of the Ponsonby Cruising Club and the Richmond Cruising Club were held in the latter’s clubhouse last Wednesday evening, when flag officers and the executive of Richmond met those of Ponsonby. Although the result of the deliberations has not yet been disclosed, there is reason to believe that the proposal has found considerabl support. The respective clubs wili individually consider the plan, Richmond this evening, and Ponsonby probably tomorrow evening. This week is a busy one for clubs. Tomorrow evening Ponsonby will hold its annual meeting; Akarana Yacht Club meets on Thursday evening; the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron on Friday evening; and th© Wakatere Canoe Club on Saturday evening, in the Narrow Neck hall. The officers in each instance request a good attendance. Encouraged by the success which attended a carnival dance in its boathouse last Saturday evening, the Point Chevalier Sailing Club will conduct a similar evening next Saturday. An invitation is being extended to all aquatic men, and their friends. The clubhouse is in Joan Street, Point Chevalier.
