WITH A LOCAL REPUTATION of being haunted, this old house at the corner of New and Dublin Streets, Ponsonby, has been empty for a long time. A spectacular fire last evening practically gutted the building. Firemen suppressed the outbreak, but did not see any spirits—ghostly or otherwise.
