A curious story, to the effect that two young women of Glasgow, both 26 years of age, went through a marriage ceremony in order that they should iiot be separated, was told at the Creerock Police Court. As a result, OQe or the women concerned, Mary Rrowu, was sent to prison for 40 days for making a false declaration. Dressed as a man, Brown induced a Priest to perforin the ceremony in 1t)26. Thereafter the two young "omen lived together in Ireland. Brown reassumed female attire, but worked to support the other girl. The n ‘a?istrate described this remarkable J aße as the most difficult one he had oeen called upon to decide.
