PIGS KILL CATERPILLARS
EXPERIMENT IN ALSACE
Noting that wild boars were effective enemies of caterpillars that were rapidly eating up 6,000 acres of woodland m the valley of the Breusch, tarmers have turned loose farm pigs and chickens. The animals turn over the ground and eat or destroy the pupae, a measure more effective than any devised by the Agricultural Department experts.
