RELIEF FUNDS WANTED
FLOWER WEEK FOR HOSPITAL AUXILIARY From Monday to Saturday next, a flower week will be in progress to raise funds for the Auckland Hospital Auxiliary. The auxiliary carries out an extensive programme to assist families in which the fathers are undergoing treatment in the Public Hospital or the Infirmary. Owing to the clashing of the auxiliary’s street collection with the appeal for the South Island earthquake sufferers. less than half the usual amount was realised. The calls on the auxiliary. on the other hand, have increased steadily. A stall will be conducted at the J.C.L. corner and a shop in St. James Theatre has been placed at the disposal of the auxiliary by Sir Benjamin Fuller and Mr. John Fuller.
