Mr. Adolphe Menjou, la out of work. There is apparently no demand for his well-known Interpretation of the role of a well-bred philanderer. After vainly attempting for several weeks to find work in New York, he has now sailed for Europe, where he will endeavour, he says, to get a contract in France, England, or Germany. Mr. Menjou is unable to explain the reluctance of the film producers to Moo.phe Menjou employ him. Before he sailed, he stated that he did not think the arrival of the talking films had anything to do with it. as the last picture he made under his old contract was of this type, and the subsequent receipts had been satisfactory. , , The company had nevertheless refused to offer him a new contract, and so, too, had other producers.
