KITCHEN EVENING
PARTY FOR BRIDE-TO-BE A kitchen evening was held recently at ’’Lilyvale,” Picton street iliirl,“,n by 'fi the home of Mr. and Mrs! Harimm fhe occasion being in honour of Miss Irene Strong and Mr. Ray Browne. The house was prettily decorated with coloured streamers and flowers, while a log Are gave a cheerful aspect to the scene. Tables were set for those who preferred bridge to dancing. “ The hostess received her guests in a S er M . fr «k of cyclamen while Miss Strong wore black beaded georgette with Spanish shawl. Mrs Strong was wearing black and white figured georgette. Among those present were: J. Arnold, panne velvet and georMrs. B. Bach, beaded georgette and black lace; Mrs. Hanham, senr. grev crepe de chine; Mrs. Buchanan, navy and henna crepe de chine; Mrs. Johnstone, black georgette and lace; Miss P. Strong S? rlse ,f eorgette and taffeta, ankle length : Miss McPherson, figured ring velvet- Miss Atholine Strong, embossed velvet with pearl trimming; Miss Goodman, rose taffeta and georgette, uneven hem; Miss ban-lie, blue taffeta and georgette, silver lace; Miss Webb, black georgette; Miss Gladys Nelmes rose crepe de chine; Miss Baffin, pale pink and green taffeta and geot gette; Miss Anderson, black georgette; Miss Mary Arnold, smart maroon rep; Miss O. Reid, georgette and lace in shell pink ; Miss G. Reid, ‘maroon crepe de chine with french trimmings; Miss Kemp, rose taffeta and georgette; Miss .Winnie Johnstone, mauve crepe de chine; Miss V. Hanham, blue satin trimmed with diamente; Miss I. Ensore, vieux rose panne velvet; Miss May Judd, coral pink tulle.
