“BLACKMAIL”
BRITISH MADE TALKIE First reports on the premier presentation of “Blackmail” at the Capitol, London, indicate that the eulogistic praise bestowed on this production by the trade and Press critics throughout the country has been confirmed by the equally critical paying public. Continuous queues have been the order of the day for each performance since Sunday, and every record has been beaten since the opening of thl3 house four years ago. The Duke and Duchess of York, recognised as two of tho keenest Royal patrons of the cinema, honoured the Capitol with a visit on Tuesday last, accompanied by several friends. The party thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Their Royal Highnesses, it will be remembered, were able to see Mr. Hitchcock at work on this production during their recent visit to Els tree, and were particularly interested to see the final result of tho “shots" taken on that occasion. “Blackmail” is scheduled for release in New Zealand,
