SUBURBAN THEATRES
At the Prince Edward Theatre this evening the film will be “The Sunset Pass” (Zane Grey’s thriller starring Jack Holt), “Modern Marriage” (Betty Bronson and Alec B. Francis) and “The Lost Patrol,” a stirring drama of the desert. The Grey Lynn Cinema are showing “Piccadilly” (a tale of London life by Arnold Bennett, starring Anna May Wong and Gilda Gray), also “The Veiled Woman” (starring Lia Tora in a Parisian story). At the Parish Hall, Devonport, the films are “Clear the Decks” (Reginald Denny's delightful sea comedy) and “The Californian Mail” (Ken Maynard’s Western thriller). At the Foresters’ Hall, Birkenhead, the pictures are “Joy Street” (a fascinating tale of ultra-modern youth starring Sally Phipps) and “A Woman on Trial” (Pola Negri’s great picture).
