Walsh is agent for the Kelvin motor, which needs no introduction. A 39ft launch has just been completed at the yard of Mr. S. Carey, Port Chalmers, for Air. Athfield of that port. A 30 h.p. C2 model “KelvinSleeve” has been installed. At Messrs Miller and Tunnage’s yard at Port Chalmers, a 41ft x 10ft launch is being built for Messrs Monti Brothers of Port Chalmers. The power plant is a C2 model 30 h.p. “Kelvin-Sleeve.” A B2 model 15 h.p. “Kelvin-Sleeve” has been installed by Mr. A. Hammond of Akaroa in his 38ft x 9ft launch. The marine fisheries investigation station at Portobello has replaced the engine, of foreign make in its sea-going launch by a 15 h.p. B2 model “Kelvin-Sleeve.” John Burns and Company Limited, advertise thg* Ricksha brand yacht paint which, is known for its high gloss qualities and ability to withstand hard wear. Sailmaking is a speciality. * * * L. Stericker,. mechanical engineer, of Khyber Pass, specialises in precision machine work and repairs to all makes of engines.
