MORE UNEMPLOYMENT
INCREASE IN REGISTRATIONS Figures supplied by the Labour i Department this morning show that j this week there is an increase in the , number of unemployed in Auckland, a total of 874 men being registered, compared with 825 last week. Of this week’s total 714 men are classed as fit for heavy work and 160 for light work. The figures for the previous week were 669 and 156 respectively. During the week 105 | men were placed in work, compared ! with 167 for the week ending Sepi tember 21.
