HONOUR FOR MACDONALD AND SNOWDEN “INDOMITABLE COURAGE” Australian and N.Z. Press Association) (United Service) Reed. 10 a.m. LONDON, Thursday. The Corporation of the City of London has decided to confer the freedom of the city upon the Prime Minister, Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, and the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. Philip Snowden —the former for the indomitable courage, energy, and ability by which he has raised himself to his present high office, also for his efforts to promote a better understanding with the United States, and the limitation of armaments; the latter for his protection of British interests at The Hague Conference on Reparations.
