BELMONT AFTERNOON
FOR BIRTHDAY FAIR A large and appreciative company assembled in the Belmont Hall on Tuesday afternoon, when those interested in the cake stall at the forthcoming birthday fair presented an attractive programme of instrumental, vocal, and elocutionary items. The hostesses for the function were Mrs. McEldowney, • Mrs. Stokes, and Mrs. Roberts. Pianoforte solos were contributed by Mrs. Howie; violin solos by Miss Phyllis Best; elocutionary items by Miss Young; songs by Mrs. E>. Roberts, Mrs. Chisholm, and Miss Penman.
