ROTORUA COMPETITIONS
A meeting of the executive of the Rotorua Competitions Society was held on Wednesday, Mr. C. G. Hodgson presiding. Reports from various members showed that arrangements had in most cases been completed regarding judges and events. Stewards for the various classes were appointed as follow: —Stage manager, Mr. C. G. Hodgson; ticket office, Messrs. Bennett and E. Pratt; judges’ stewards, musical —Mr. L. E. Andrews, elocution —Mr. A. W. Downer; dancing—Mr. G. Barber. A record number of entries is expected, and the schedules provide a wide range from which intending competitors can make a selection. The competitions commence on October 15, finishing with a demonstration and prizewinners’ concert on Friday, October IS, in the Majestic Theatre.
