“CANARY MURDER CASE” TOMORROW The sporting and romantic tale. “The Man I Love,” which is an all-talkie, will be shown at the Crystal Palace Theatre, Mount Eden, for the last time this evening. Richard Arlen. the star, has the role of a rising champion boxer, very much in love with his little wife, Mary Brian, but fascinated and drawn to a society woman, the role played by Baclanova. From tomorrow the Crystal Palace will present an entirely new programme, headed by one of the most exciting of mystery murder thrillers. This is “The Canary Murder Case,” a Philo Vance detective tale by S. S. Van Dine, and starring Louise Brooks, a sthe New York chorus girl who is murdered. William Powell as the detective; also Charles Lane, James Ford and Jean Arthur. It is a completely talking picture. Several short talkie features will also be shown.
