NEW COASTAL SHIP

TWO-MASTED SCHOONER

A vessel larger than any built at Auckland for a number of years is to be constructed by the well-kuown shipbuilder, Mr. G. Niccol.

The ship is to be a two-masted schooner, and will be fully powered with Diesel motor engines. Her chief dimensions will be: —Length, 112 feet; beam, 27 feet; depth, 9 feet. She is to be capable of carrying a cargo of about 300 tons on a 7ft draught. It is expected that she will be launched early next year to engage iu coastal work.
