CONFERENCE ON NATIVES’ RIGHTS An announcement to the Akarana Maori Association I as?! evening mentioned the possibility of a conference between the Pensions Office and the Native Department on the questions raised over old-age pensions for Maoris. An attempt will be made to reach an arrangement to eliminate the existing disabilities in judging the land ownership of Maori applicants.
