MR. THOMAS TO RECOMMEND FOR BRITISH PORTS Atistralian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 11.50 a.m. OTTAWA, Thurs. The Lord Privy Seal, Mr. J. H. Thomas, will submit a proposal to the British Government, that extensive elevators be erected at certain British ports to store wheat. Government officials see great possibilities for Canada and Australia if the proposal is accepted, and is to include cold storage and dry storage. The immediate object would be to relieve* unemployment.
