BEAUTIFICATION WORK

TAKAPUNA RESIDENTS’ PLANS Beautification work in the western portion of the Takapuna borough is to be undertaken by a committee of the Residents’ and Ratepayers’ Association of that area. The first \Vork to be undertaken is the improvement of the frontage of Taharoto Park, on which a working bee will commence operations on Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock. The activities are then to be extended to small corner sections in Anzac Street. These plans were made at a meeting of the association on Tuesday evening, when a beautifying committee was appointed. It was reported that the Takapuna Borough Council was prepared to assist in improving the area. Tools, plant and trees are to be provided by the council for immediate work.
