QUEEN STREET FIRE

ONE ROOM SEVERELY DAMAGED FLAMES EASILY SUPPRESSED A fire which broke out in the upper storey of the building occupied by Samuel Vaile and Sons, Ltd., at 85 Queen Street, shortly after 8 p.m. on Wednesday, resulted in severe damage being done in one room. The flames were easily extinguished by the City Fire Brigade, which experienced no difficulty in confining the outbreak to the room where it originated an office oocupied by Messrs. Martin and Philson. tennis specialists. Practically all the stock in the room, which consisted of tennis rackets and repairing and restringing apparatus, was destroyed.
