USED WRONG NUMBER PLATE
A charge of affixing the wrong number plate to a motor vehicle, also of using an unregistered vehicle, was preferred against R. Watkins in the Opotiki Police Court today. T Morrell, traffic inspector, said the defendant had taken the number piates off one motor-lorry and placed them on an unregistered lorry. The magistrate, Mr. S. I- Paterson, pointed out that in the event of defendant colliding with another car, there would have been no insurance to cover damages. .Defendant \va» fined M.
