PRESENTATION AT HAMILTON

From Our Oxen Correspondent HAMILTON, Tuesday. Representatives of the civil service in Hamilton assembled yesterday to bid farewell to Mr. Mervyn Simmonds, deputy-regristrar of the Supreme Court, who has been transferred to Tauranga, where he will hold the position of clerk of court. For the past live years, Mr. Simmonds has acted as secretary of the local branch of the Public Service Association and on behalf of that body he was presented with a set of crystal ware. Suitable acknowledgments of the compliments paid him were made by Mr. Simmonds, who was, accorded musical honours.
