I KOWHAI OLD PUPILS’ ASSOCIATION HOLDS JOLLY EVENING.
STREAMERS OF BLUE AND RED j The last of the Kowhal Old Pupils' Association's monthly dances before the grand reunion dnnco in October was held recently at Mount Eden. Excellent music was supplied by the Pirate Sliippe Jazz Band. With a colourful background of blue and red, the old school colours, and a. jolly programme well interspersed with novelties, the dance was a huge success. Chaperones for the evening were: Mrs. M. Chisholm, who wore a frock of black taffeta with a, pale blue chiffon hem. and fur wrap; and Miss F. Taylor, who was in cinnamon brown floral chiffon velvet with tangerine * hem, and velvet wrap. Among those present were: Miss Joyce Moberly, who was wearing I a lemon charm euse fi-oek of uneven length, worn with shawl; Miss D. Read, black ring velvet with diamente trimmings; Miss E. gold lace over pale blue brocaded satin; Miss Muriel Elliot, lemon crepe de chine with liem of silver lace; Miss P. Munro, shaded powder blue georgette; Miss Edna Buchanan, scarlet crepe de chine and silver lace; Miss Dorothy Eccles. sunset taffeta period fi*ock, diamente trimmings; Miss R. Garton, blue embroidered georgette, with, silver lace, uneven hem; Miss J. Surman, gold and green ravon with flared skirt; Miss E.
