“A SCRAPE 0’ THE PEN” Theatre-lovers who remember with pleasure the play presented by the St. Andrew’s Society last year will be delighted with the announcement that the society has chosen Graham Moffat’s enormously successful Scottish comedy. “A Scrap o’ the Pen” for this year’s piece. It will be presented in the Town Hall concert chamber on Wednesday, September 25, and on the three following evenings, with new dresses, new scenes and new players. The box plans opened this morning at Lewis Eady, Ltd. MUNICIPAL CHOIR The Municipal Choir at its concert in the Town Hall on Saturday next will have the assistance of Miss Mary MacCormick, vocalist, and Miss Jean Allen, violinist. The choral numbers will include old English and modern works, the vocal solos wil consist of songs by McFadyen and Hageman, and violin works by Bach. Ivreisler, Medtner and Ravel will be played. The city organist, Mr. Maughan Barnett, will conduct the choir.
