“THE SHAKERS”
A THEATRICAL COCKTAIL “The Shakers” is the title of H.SIS. Dunedin’s party, which is putting on a “Theatrical Cocktail” at the Scots Hall on September 24 and 25. Th« title has been well chosen, according to popular opinion in Wellington, whore the performance of “The Shakers” wal voted to be one of the best amateur shows ever produced there, leaving 4 doubt, in some minds, that the pe--formers were really amateur. As most people realise, a cocktail is a mixture of all the best possible ingredients necessary to produce a perfect dririi and a real pick-me-up, but much depends on the blending, and that rests with the shakers. In this case the shakers have done their work well, producing a show that is a blending 0! all that is best in the form of entertainment, and those who see the performance will enjoy every moment of it and realise the tonic effect of unrestrained merriment. The whole proceeds are to go to the earthquake relief furd, and those wb wish to avoid disappointment should book now at Lewis Eady, Ltd.
