ART GALLERY FOR SOUTH

PRIZE WINNING DESIGN (Special to THE SUN) CHRISTCHURCH, Today. The competition for the design for the art gallery presented to Christchurch by Mr. R. E. McDougall has been won by Mr. William Edward Armstrong, of Bedford Square, London. The second prize has been given to Mr. Alexander S. Reid, of Golders Green, London, and the third to Gummer and Ford, of Auckland. The city council inspected the three designs selected from the entries by the jury of award and unanimously accepted the design recommended for first place by the jury.
