WESTFIELD STOCK SALE WESTFIELD. 2.30 p.m. An aggregate beef yarding of 630 head or fat cattle, approximately 100 head more than last week, came forward to Westfield today. Prices held practically on a par with late rates. Choicest ox made up to 44s a hundred; choicest cow and heifer to 41s a hundred. The Quality of the offering allowed ttle room Lor special comment. A. rge section was only indifferently rushed, and there was a fair sprinkng of stores in both the cow and eer sections. Waikato and near-Auckland grazrs were the principal vendors; Buy i: Plenty and North Auckland lots ere hard to locate. There were few nes of big-framed heavy prime steers, ie greater part of the steer offering eing made up of average-framed tedium-finished cattle. The cow nd heifer offering, as usual at this mo of the year, was drawn largely om the dairy herds, but there was a ir percentage of attractively finished Jung cattle. Top price of the day was secured for line of heavy prime bullocks on acJunt K. Le Gallis, Tuahoa, which ade up to £2l for a single bullock >ld to T. Baster, Ponsonby. A line of 26 well-finished medium to ig-framed steers on account It. 11. Cayley, Tirau, made from £l6 15s to -20 10s. One truck of medium to heavyeight steers on account T.
