Mr. Justice Ostler joined the limited at Frankton Junction last evening on his way to Wellington. The Rev. Cecil Watson, vicar of St. Paul's, left for Wellington last evening by the Limited. Major H. S. X. Robinson, secretary of the Melanesian Mission, left for Wellington last evening by the Limited Mr. S. C. Clarke was admitted as a barrister by Mr. Justice Herdman at the Supreme Court this morning. His admission was moved by Mr. Matthews. Miss F. J. Hakes, who has been matron of the hospital on Xorfolk Island for the past year, arrived in Auckland by the Maui Pomare today. Mrs. Cobby Robinson, one of the best known residents of Norfolk Island, arrived by the Maui Pomare today on a visit to Auckland. Major G..R. Blackett, M.C., of Auckland, has been posted to the retired list with the rank of major, after 23 .rears’ service. Major Blackett has a distinguished war record. Messrs. H. R. Jenkins, G. C. Munns, A. M. Samuel, W. K. Parry, A. Harris, W. J. Jordan, 11. M. Rush worth, and H. G. R. Mason, M.P.’s, left by train for Wellington last evening. The Rev. C. H. Grant Cowen. of St. Matthew’s Church, returned from Wellington this morning. He has been on holiday recovering from a serious illness, but is quite well again, and will take up his duties on Sunday.
