CONGREGATIONS COUNCIL SUGGESTION j The making of the Council of | Christian Congregations the mouth- ; piece of the Christian community was i the suggestion made by the outgoing executive of the council in the eighth annual report last evening. It was felt that a united opinion could be given by the churches on public problems. The report detailed the work and the addresses during the past year and further expressed reJ gret at the loss of service through the departure of Canon .Tames, the Rev. A. McMillan and Mr. W. E. Bush, formerly City engineer. Officers for the coming year are: President, the Rev. E. Drake: vicepresidents. Archbishop Averill, the Rev. D. C. Herron and the Rev. W. E. Lush: treasurer, Mr. J. P. Hooton: secretaries, Messrs. G. Brownlee and C. H. Furness; executive, the Revs. Dr. North, Dr. Ranston, Gordon Bell, W. Lawson Marsh, R. M. Hobday, E. T. Olds, J. A. Thomson and R. C. Roberts. Messrs. C. A. Whitney. A. E. H. Harrison, W. M. Rayner, W. J. Fletcher, If. Murdoch, S. Fairgray, H. .r. Edmiston, G. Falla. J. C. Entrican, W. S. Mackay and F. N. Andrews.
