PRESENTATION OF “CARMEN”

I . I LEWIS EADY HALL TOMORROW | All lovers of music will be inter- ■ ested in the announcement that there will be a complete phonographic presentation of Bizet’s immortal opera, "Carmen,” in the Lewis Eady Hall tomorrow evening. It is sung by the leading artists of the Paris Opera House under the direction of the orchestral conductor of that famous theatre. This beautiful opera will be presented on two Columbia-Kolster elec- ' trie reproducing machines to secure ' absolute continuity and will comprise 30 records. A unique feature will be the screen- ; ing of the literal translation with appropriate settings, synchronising with the presentation of each record, thus enabling the audience to follow the opera completely word by word. No charge will be made for admission to this novel and unique entertainment, and seats may now be booked at the Lewis Eady booking office. The songs and dances of Russian gipsies will be seen and heard in ‘‘Redemption,” John Gilbert’s first alltalking picture for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. The gipsies will lend aunosI phere to the picture, and will be seen j in the Russian gipsy camp scenes as i ! well as depicting gipsy life in Mos--1 cow's cafe quarter.
