“THE THREE PASSIONS” Money, Religion, Love—clashing in the environment of modern London as they have clashed all through man's history—provide the theme of Rex Ingram’s new production, “The Thret Passions,” which is now at the Rialto and Regent, Epsom, Theatres. Interpreting a story in which the drama arises from the clash of wills between a domineering, self-made industrial magnate and his son, a university student, are Alice Terry, representing the influence of a woman’s quieter but more steadfast purpose: Ivan ' Petrovitch. her co-star, in the role of the million-
aire’s student son: Shayle Gardner, as tho overbearing father, and a strong company in which the leading members are Claire Eames a well-knovrn Shakesperian actress; Andrews Engleman, the Russian a "tor who made so big a success in “Mare Nostrum,"* and Leslie Faber, a star in the Lon ion West End Theatre, who has played many important parts n New York FINE FILMS AT ROYAL Billie Love’s latest picture. “The Man and the Moment,” which is now at the Royal Theatre, Kingsland, is ;i picturisation of Elinor Glyn’s torrid story of love of the same name. George Fitzmaurice directed this jazzy taleo? the cocktail trails, and Rod La Rocque plays liis first role opposite Miss Love. The story opens with some aviation scenes and then goes to “water stuff” with yachts, bathing girls and all the trimmings. It is a fast-moving story of hectic love affairs. An exciting Zane Grey story, “Sun* set Pass.” will also be shown.
