JUDGES’ MOVEMENTS

Mr. Justice Herdman leaves at the end of this week for Wellington to attend the Court of Appeal which commences on Tuesday next. His duties here will be taken up by Mr. Justice Smith, who arrives today to fill the vacancy caused by the recent transfer of Mr. Justice Kennedy to Dunedin. Mr. Justice Blair, who is temporarily president of the Arbitration Court during the absence of Mr. Justice Frazer in Australia, will conclude his duties at the end of this week, after sitting with the court in Hamilton on Thursday, and will resume on the Supreme Court Bench on Tuesday next to take a special case.
