“BETTER TIMES BAZAAR”
MANY UNUSUAL FEATURES A specially-constructed relief ship, ; 70 feet in length, modelled on the lines of a modern steamer, with a mast 32 feet high, cargo hatches and lifeboats —this will be a feature at the “Better Times Bazaar,” in aid of the Auckland City Mission, which will be opened in the Town Hall tomorrow. The fair, which is one of the biggest events of the year for the City Mission, will be continued through the afternoon and evening of the two following days. It has been organised on a large scale and promises to produce all the merriment and fun, a feature of such fairs in days gone by. Tastefully decorated stalls will surround the hall, while art unions, guessing competitions, side-shows, wax works, and an Egyptian hall of mystery should prove sufficiently attractive to make the bazaar a great success, j Jasper’s concert will be held in the I Town Hall on Wednesday, September i U.
