jtr. R. D- McFarlane arrived from the South by the Limited this morning. Lord Waleran, who has been spending the week-end in Auckland. returned to Wellington last evening. Mr. Justice Smith, who is to be stationed permanently in Auckland, will arrive from "Wellington tomorrow morning. Messrs. R. W. Wallace and G. M. Costley were among the passengers Who arrived from Wellington by this morning's Limited. The Right Hon. J. G. Coates, Leader of the Opposition, who was in Auckland during the week-end, will leave for Wellington this evening. Mr. H. H. Sterling, general manager of Mew Zealand Railways, who has been visiting Auckland, left for Wellington by train last evening. Mr. E. J. Tait, a director of J. C. Williamson, Ltd., will be a through passenger on the Aorangi when she arrives from Sydney next Monday. He is on his way to America and England. Mr. H. S. King and Mr. Edward Smith left by train for Wellington last evening, where they will attend a meeting of the Pharmacy Board of New Zealand. Mr. R. Glover Clark, organiser for the United Party, left for the North this morning. He will spend a fortnight in the Bay of Islands, and will later visit the Kaipara and Marsden electorates. The Chief Rabbi for New Zealand, the Rev. H. van Staveren, of Wellington, who has been seriously ill for some time, is now recovering. He was able to go for a motor drive yesterday.
