CRICKET IN CANTERBURY
ORGANISATION OF GAMES MOTION RESCINDED Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday. By a majority of 34 votes to 14, the annual meeting of delegates to the Canterbury Cricket Association rescinded a motion passed at a previous special meeting providing that the district scheme of club cricket be reverted to in the season 1930-31. A special committee was set up, consisting of one delegate from each of the eight senior clubs, to formulate a scheme under the following heads; Six district clubs; four district clubs and two closed clubs; four district clubs; two closed and four open clubs; six open clubs; and any other system. The main purpose of the district scheme and the present endeavour was to reduce the number of senior clubs.
