HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL
OLD ROYS’ AND GIRLS’ REUNION An active year, during which old boys had shown a very keen interest in all school work, is shown in the report of th© Hamilton High School Old Boys’ Association, which will be presented by the president, Mr. E. F. ClaytonGreene, at the annual reunion at the High School on Monday, September 23. The reunion will be held in conjunction with, that of tho Old Girls’ Association. All the clubs are now controlled by old boys. Most of the district representatives have done good work, the Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch district's being particularly active. At the end of last year the Government promised a grant free of interest for the establishment of a boys’ hostel. At present the plans for the building are in the course of preparation. During the past year, the report concludes. the committee had endeavoured to obtain direct representation on the Board of Governors. Something in this direction had been accomplished by the appointment of Mr. C. A. Speight as parents’ representative. The programme for the reunion is as follows: —9.15 a.m., junior past v. present football match: 10.15, senior past v. present football match; 12.15, p.m.. reunion luncheon; 2 p.m., annual general meeting, business, annual report and balance sheet, election of officers and district representatives, general; 3 to 5 p.m., reunion; 4 p.m., afternoon tea; 8 p.m., reunion dance in Assembly Hall.
