HEXDBRSOX SURPRISED.—The British Foreign Secretary, Mr. Arthur Henderson, is surprised at the prominence given in London to his statement about financial assistance to victims of aggression. He is expected to make a further explanation. The British delegates to the League Assembly of the League of Nations say Mr. Henderson went no further than did Lord Cushenden last year. The scheme is fully hedged round with safeguards.—A. and n.z.-p.a.
