SPRING FLOWER SHOW

BLOOMS AT TAURANGA From Our Own Correspondent TAURANGA, Tuesday. The Spring Flower Show of me aauranga Horticultural Society was opened today by the Mayor, Mr. B. C. Robbins. The number of entries did not come up to that of former occasions, but the blooms were of a high order. Mrs. H. Clark, of The Mount, had a very fine exhibition in the different classes of daffodils, and won several first prizes. The champion daffodil bloom other than trumpet was won by Mr. A. J. SJanden, who also displayed the best collection of cut flowers. Mrs. W. S. Harris Avon first prize for the best decorated basket, and Mrs. Preston, the best decorated bowl. The best decorated table (children’s class) was arranged by A. Wileock. A fine exhibit of citrus fruits was entered by Mr. Davidson. There was a fair attendance during both the afternoon and evening.
