EXEMPTION SOUGHT
DUTIES OF A FOREMAN A deputation for exemption from the waterside workers’ award was made by Sutherland and Pearson, carriers, of Onehunga, in the Arbitration Court on Tuesday. The application was supported by Mr. S. Wright and opposed by Mr. PRoberts, on behalf of the Waters! ders Federation. The exemption sought was in connection with the duties of a foreman employed by the applicant firm on the waterfront, superintending the loading of lorries. The decision was reserved.
