MAN FINED FOR ASSAULT
From Our Own Correspondent WAIHI, Tuesday. Charged with assaulting John Stone and causing him bodily injury, Frederick Heath, a married man. was fined £4 and costs at the Walhi Police Court today. Defendant said Stone used offensive language, and he suggested that they go to a lers public place to settle the dispute. Heath struck Stone a light blow on the face, and the latter stumbled and fell, striking his head on the kerbing. The magistrate, Mr. F. W. Platts, ordered that half the fine be paid to Stone.
