WOMAN’S 23 CONVICTIONS

LAST ON FIRST DAY OUT OF GAOL GETS THREE MONTHS MORE Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. Margaret Cushworth, aged 45, with 23 previous convictions to her discredit, was sentenced today to three months’ imprisonment on a charge of receiving goods, knowing them to be dishonestly obtained. The police said that accused, on the day of the present offence, had been convicted of drunkenness and had been discharged from gaol about 11 o’clock in the morning, but instead of going home had gone on a drinking bout.
