DEATH ON TRAIN

PASSENGER COLLAPSES TRAVELLING TO AUCKLAND Just after the 9.45 o’clock train left Taupiri for Auckland this morning Mr. F. C. Jackson, a passenger, suddenly collapsed and died. He lived at 20 Great South Road and was employed by Aulsebrook and Co. Mr. Jackson was injured in the war and recently had been attended by a doctor. It is thought that the collapse was due to a recurrence of his war disability. He joined the train at Taupiri this morning and was coming thrpugh to Auckland. When he collapsed the train was stopped and everything possible was done to revive him but he died almost at once.
