PUPUKE WELL FILLED Reporting to the Northcote Borough Council last evening, the waterworks engineer said the level of Lake Pupuke was eight and a-half inches above the high-water mark. This represented an increase of two and a-half inches for the month of August. Building permits granted in August were valued at £531. According to a notification from the Main Highways Board the expenditure of £l6l 4s lOd on maintenance on Onewa Road will carry a suhsidv of £IOO 3s Id.
