MAUKU CLUB The annual sports meeting of the Mauku Athletic Club, which will be held either on New Year's Day or Anniversary Day, will be controlled by the following officers:—Patron, Mr. J. X. Massey, M.P.: vice-patrons, Messrs. T. B. Bailey, H. E. R. L. Wily, A. Parris, W. Howe, W. Batty, F. Perkins, W. M. S. Hood and R. S. Brown: president, Mr. W. E. Johns; vicepresidents, Messrs. T. M. Short and E. St. C. Syme; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. L. Adams; auditor, Mr. R. S. Brown. A committee, comprising the following, with power to add to its number, was appointed: Messrs. M. Irwin, G. McAlpine, W. Finlay, F. Needham, R. K. Membery, H. Walker, S. Rowe, W. Sommerville, A. Woolsey, W. M. Duffus and H. Green. Messrs. Short and Sommerville -were appointed local handicappers: Messrs. Finlay and C. Stitchbury, starters; Messrs. Massey, J. Maleolmson, Sommerville and W. M. Duffus, judges; and Mr. Rowe, call steward.
