SALVATION ARMY IN GERMANY NEW LEADER CHOSEN (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) BERLIN, Friday. Commander Mary Booth is retiring from the leadership of the Salvation Army in Germany. She will be succeeded by Commander Bruno Friedrich, a German, who is head of the Salvation Army in Czecho-Slovakia. Commander Mary Booth will return to London, and will place herself at the disposal of headquarters. She says she may resign from the Army altogether.
