FAR-REACHING SCHEME ANNUAL CONFERENCE Interesting and far-reaching » ub _ jects will be submitted by the Hon H. Atmore. Minister of Education, fit the annual conference of the Tecinical Education Association of New Zealand, which will be held at Well ini', ton, commencing on Tuesday. Mr. S. W. King, chairman of the Seddon Memorial Technical College, will preside. The first question will be that of the unification of control of primary and post-primary education. There are 4.5 remits to be considered. Among the most important are; “That, in any scheme for the reorganisation of educational administration it is essential that means should be taken to secure for technical education the interest and help of those engaged in industry and commerce." “That this conference affirm the desirability of uniting the control of primary. technical and secondary education in each district under one local board.” “That in any revision of regulations for the control of post-primary schools., due regard be paid to the representation of industrial, commercial and agricultural interests on controlling boards.”
