Charred Bodies in Burned Homestead
_ MAORIS TELL POLICE BACK COUNTRY TRAGEDY Press Association FOXTON, Today. Word was received by the police at about one o'clock this afternoon from some Maoris that a farmhouse had been destroyed back from the road between Motuiti and Rangiotu and that the charred bodies of the inmates had been discovered. The house is owned by Mr. Westlake and the occupants were Mr. and Mrs. Wright and their two children. It is feared that all were burned. The police have left to investigate. ON OTHER PAGES SATURDAY.
