Germany took a violent fancy to the new sport, which attained great popularity among the athletic youth of that country. The cult of the aero-wheel has spread. Los Angeles witnessed the first speed race to be held with the wheels in America. A large number of entrants started in the “roll away” at Carthay Circle, where the race was held. The winner was Betty Ellis who covered 250 yards in 44 1-ssec.
