CASH AND CIGARETTES TAKEN PALMERSTON N-, Today. The premises of E. C. Ifammond, a grocer in Chelwood Street, were broken into last night and cash and cigarettes to the total value of £lO were taken. Mr. Hammond, who does not live on the premises, was informed by neighbours that a crash was heard at one o’clock this morning, ft is believed to have been the noise of the burglar making his entry.
