CHILD’S LEGS BROKEN

CYCLE COLLIDES WITH CAR ACCIDENT AT WANGANUI (From Our Own Correspondent) WANGANUI, Today. As the result of a collision between a bicycle and a motor-car at the corner of St. Hill Street and Maria Place, Alfred McArthur, aged 10 years, was admitted to the Public Hospital yesterday -with both legs fractured and suffering from concussion. Two paths from Cook’s Gardens converge at the main St. Hill Street gate and children with bicycles have a habit of racing at top speed down one to coast up the other. McArthur missed the opposite path and shot across the street, colliding with the car. His condition this morning was serious.
